Afternoon Strolls In Dunedin

Daily Photo: Afternoon sunlight across Dunedin City.

What a joy walking is. Now, there’s something I wouldn’t have said as a spotty teenager. It was a perfect day for a walk. The sun was shining, the day was warm, and I had absolutely nothing planned. So, on a whim, I decided that afternoon to go for a stroll along the harbourside walkway. The walk was scenic, peaceful and pleasant. Along the way, among the many sights, were sea birds resting on the water and occasionally bobbing for fish, or whatever it is birds look for when they duck their heads underwater and stick their bottoms in the air. On walks like this I like to amuse myself by imagining what random objects they might be searching for. Spare keys, a wallet, a feather comb, an iPhone, a credit card, or whatever else birds keep tucked under their feathers in case of emergency.
