Daily Photo – Stone Schoolhouse in the Badlands

Out in the barren, wind-scraped hills, tucked into rock and tussock, an old schoolhouse crumbled. Nearby, the stones that once marked trails across the otherwise indistinguishable country lay scattered and half forgotten, an attempt at order in a landscape of sparse vegetation, steep slopes and disorienting emptiness.
