The Makarora River – Buy 

One of the places I was looking forward to visiting while I was staying in Makarora was the famous Blue Pools. Unfortunately, the two bridges to the pools were closed for repair work which was a little disappointing. So, instead I spent some time exploring along the Makarora River bank where I made a tasty snack for the fierce local sandflies.
