Morning Silence In The Hakataramea Valley

I stopped by these pine trees and farm gate while driving through the Hakararamea Valley. The morning was unbelievably cold until the sun started to rise over the Campbell Hills. Tucked away in the Waimate District, the Hakataramea Valley sits at the foot Kirkliston range in the South Island of New Zealand.

  1. Hi John,
I just stumbled on your photoblog today via Google!
    Fantastic – I like what I see.
It is so refreshing to search for NZ photoblogs (as I often do) and discover one that is still current and updated regularly.
I have really enjoyed scrolling through your daily photos – well done – and have subscribed to your feed.
    Cheers,
    Rick

    1. Kia ora Rick,
Thank you for the message and email. I love hearing from people and that fact you took some time to respond, that means a lot. Covid has kept me here in Dunedin mostly however I have a lots of NZ images from trips that I’m starting to mix into the blog feed. My goal is simple, publish a new photo every day at 6am for a year. At the moment I’m seven months into the challenge and haven’t missed a day so hopefully I can keep up the momentum.
Once again, great to hear from you and keep leaving comments, it’s great to hear from people and what they think.

      Stay in touch,
      John
